PUMPKIN-PINK BANANA JUMBO A superb variety producing giant fruit up to 75cm long, this banana shaped pumpkin, with an intriguing pinky skin can weigh up to 23kg. A heritage variety (over 100 years old) producing vigorous vines up to 3m long. Delicious sweet, dry yellow/orange flesh is an excellent source of vitamins & dietary fiber & is the perfect addition to menus whether included in soups, stews or casseroles or used in pies, cookies & bread. Ideal for baking. Slightly curved and not stringy at all.

Plant the seed outside. Make a group of 4-6 seeds placed in a ring about 5cm across. Each ring is called a hill & they should be spaced 1.8 to 2.5m apart each way. When the plants are 5 to 7cm tall, thin leaving the 3 or 4 strongest plants in each hill. The seeds germinate in 10 to 14 days depending on soil heat & climate conditions.
