Refund and Returns Policy

Returns & Refunds Policy for ABSeeds states what we will and won’t accept for a return or refund of a product purchased.

Thank you kindly for your order.   We hope you achieve great results with your seeds or other products you may purchase from our site.   However, if for whatever reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund, credit or exchange depending on the item in question less the postage within 30 days as long as the item is unused.

With our range of Heritage Seeds, we cannot supply a refund, unless the envelope is unopened. We may issue a replacement as determined by the nature of your issue. To return your order unopened, simply cross out your address and write “return to sender” on the envelope and pop it in a mail box. We do not replace an order lost in the mail unless it is tracked and Aust Post are unable to find it.

During the checkout process you can choose to have your order tracked for $5.40 for up to 15 seeds. For 15 to 30 seeds tracking costs $10.60. Please choose carefully as we do not refundlost in the mail orders” unless they are tracked, as we have no control over the post. If you have had postage issues in the past then I recommend you choose the tracking option. For one packet of seeds most people choose the cheaper untracked price of $2.40 for 1 to 5 packets of seeds. But the choice is yours.

Any Garden Products added to your order from the DCS site must be unopened and returned in the same condition as it was purchased.  Once opened we cannot offer you a refund in case the goods have been tampered with in any way. Unfortunately this service to add garden supplements to a seed order is not available. We are working to fix this issue.

Please contact us so we understand the nature of your issue or request for a refund and thus improve our customer service or perhaps the product.


Your item/s arrived damaged:
Contact us immediately for a replacement or exchange.   Email us a photo of the damaged item to receive a replacement.   This helps us to improve our packaging.
You changed your mind:
No problem.   Simply return the goods undamaged and a refund, less the postage costs, will be deposited to your credit card or bank account.  The easiest way to do this with a seed order is to not open the envelope and cross out your address on the envelope. Then write on the envelope “Return to Sender” and pop it in the mail.  All the credit card companies no longer refund fees on refunded items, so please choose carefully.

You can use our courier service for cheaper postage by emailing or calling us if you are returning garden products. Anything other than seeds are posted with either a courier or Australia Post depending on which is cheaper.

If the courier service is required we will email you a delivery docket that can be printed out and attached to the box.

This applies to garden products only and not seeds, as they can be mailed back in an envelope through Australia Post.


Send us an email with your proof of purchase – invoice statement – if you have ordered anything other than seeds.
Post the goods back to us (unopened) using your own postage system or Australia Post OR
Use our courier service for cheaper postage rates if returning anything other than seeds.


Simply request a printable label to attach to the outside of the box.  This applies to garden products.
If your pick up address is different to the one on the invoice then include these details in the email.

But be aware you need to be home for the courier service to pick up OR the parcel needs to left in a safe place for collection – either – Front Door, Back Door, Side Gate, or Carport.

And you need to tell us this before we send the label as these details are printed on the label so the courier service knows where to pick up if you are not home.
Once the goods have arrived safely at our address a refund will be given less postage costs unless you have already paid for the return postage.

If for some reason we accept a return of your seeds then they can be returned to our PO Box so they are not left in a hot letterbox overnight.  Australia Post is the best to use in this instance. Any envelope we posted to you usually has this information on the back of the envelope.

After we receive the returned goods and inspect the condition of the items, your refund will be processed within 7 business days.    You will be notified by email when your return has been processed.


Sale items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned unless they have arrived damaged.     In which case please contact us immediately.     See notes above about returns.

Liquid products cannot be returned if opened, partly used, or tampered with in any way.


We can’t guarantee the success rate of your seeds as every planting condition varies from state to state, garden to garden, climate to climate, season to season, and how you handled and planted the seeds also varies from person to person.    We offer information and guidance on the seed packs and other information as it becomes available either written on the website, blog or video.

We will over time be updating all the planting information on each seed but in the mean time you can check on google how to plant your seed. Be aware all the best made plans to propagate may still fail in your garden with your particular circumstances. It is impossible to know exactly why one seed will grow and another will not as there are hundreds of variables that affect how a seed grows in different soils, different climates and many other variables. We do our best to offer you a quality products that should (under ideal circumstances) last for a year if stored correctly. Despite all this we do like to hear if your seeds did not grow. If there are enough complaints then it is most likely the seed that failed. So please let us know if your seeds did not sprout so we can either test the seeds or remove it from sale.

Any other products that are on offer from time to time are subject to the usual terms and conditions or refunds.  Guarantees will depend on the item in question.
