LEEK-MUSSELBURGH is called the gourmet’s leek because of its delicious, sweet, subtle onion flavour. Scottish heirloom introduced in the 1830s. Every winter/spring hardy plants with blue-green white stalks 22-38 x 5 cm. Leeks tolerate cold temperatures as low as 4°C. Leeks are a hardy biennial even though they are usually grown as an annual. The superior quality and taste make this a favorite of home gardeners. An excellent contribution to the vegetable garden.
