Brassica oleracea
KALE-COLOUR MIX a colorful mix for the gourmet cook includes Blue Curled Nero di Toscana, Lacinato, Red Russian & Vates. Kale is extremely hardy, tolerant of both hot & cold weather. Grow it as a winter vegetable or as an ingredient in salad mixes. It is very nutritious; a source of folate, vitamin K, iron, iodine, calcium, and vitamin C. Sow the seeds in a seedbed. The timing is not vital because kale will germinate in temps as low as 5°C & as high as 35°C. Sow the seeds about 1.5cm deep in rows 22cm apart, germination will take about 10 days. When the plants are about 22cm high & four leaves have developed (about 6 weeks after sowing) transplant them to their final positions. They should be planted slightly deeper than they grew in the seedbed.

More About Us
ABSeeds is an Australian owned business trading under the umbrella of Direct Compost Solutions which is owned and managed by Victoria Brun.
We as a company endeavor to provide to the public, Organic, Old Fashioned, Heritage, and Open-pollinated seeds that have not been genetically modified.
We purchased the business in November 2018 and renamed it to ABSeeds (All ‘Bout Seeds) to make the title shorter and represent what we hope to achieve with this business in the years ahead.
Seeds that we can’t grow ourselves we will acquire from people who grow for us, or we may purchase seeds from reputable heritage seed companies.
