SQUASH-HUBBARD-GOLDEN is the orange version of green Hubbard with same great qualities, bright orange flesh. A squash variety that has been delighting vegetable gardeners since the mid 19th century. Large orange teardrop shaped squash with hard skin so is a long storage type squash. A plant produces good yields of 4 kg orange squash with tan stripes. Its golden colored flesh is nicely sweet.
Sow seed directly into the garden or pots. Plant seeds 15mm deep covering with fine soil. Plant in the sunny location in rich, well-drained soil. Keep fairly well watered and fertilize monthly, but avoid constant over watering and continual use of high-nitrogen fertilizers.
