HERB – LAND CRESS
Land Cress is native to S/W Europe & has been cultivated as a leaf vegetable since the 17th century. It is a biennial herb & a member of the cabbage family while watercress (Nasturtium officinale) is a member of the Nasturtium family. Requires less water than watercress & is easier to grow in any garden. Can be used in sandwiches or salads or cooked like spinach. High in vitamin A, C & E & rich in antioxidants. Germinates from 10-20°C. Harvest as required, best when leaves are young. An excellent contribution to the herb garden.
Keep watered and weed free. Pick the leaves when they are young for the best flavour.
