EGGPLANT-THAI LONG GREEN is a very mild and sweet, the 25 to 30cm long, very slender fruit are a beautiful light-lime green. One of the best-tasting eggplants; superb flavor & very tender. Good yields on 50 to 90cm tall plants & the tender skin does not require peeling. This heirloom from Thailand is becoming popular with gourmet chefs as the mild tender flesh absorbs spicy flavours making this the perfect addition to dishes. It’s also a great one for frying. A drought resistant variety.
Plant eggplant seed 2.5cm apart in pots or seed trays and cover with fine soil, well pressed down When the plants are 5 to 7.5cm tall, transplant in rows 60 – 90cm apart, spacing plants 60cm apart in the row. Cut the ripe eggplant instead of pulling from plant to avoid plant injury. Keep moist and not wet. Fertilise every 2-4 weeks.
