BEAN-LAZY HOUSEWIFE-CLIMBER . Being lazy is not a prerequisite to growing this easy to grow bean. It is said to originate in Germany around 1810 and introduced to the Americas around 1885. This prolific producer is not only tasty but also stringless and can be harvested for a long period of time over many months.. Reaches approx. 2 meters high. can be grown in poor soil but will produce more if soil is improved with compost and nutrients and beans are rolled in bean inoculant or propagation powder.
Plant direct after the last frost or when the soil temperature reaches at least 18celcius. Space rows 60cm apart, seeds 5cm apart, then thin out to 30cm apart and plant every two weeks for a continuous harvest.
