Thymus vulgaris
HERB-THYME is native to the Mediterranean. Its foliage is attractive, the long-lasting flowers are very pretty & it is a compact easy-care plant. On top of that, it is one of the most useful herbs for the kitchen. Thyme has been grown & used in cooking and medicine for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians used thyme when embalming their dead pharaohs, as it is a powerful preservative & the ancient Greeks used to burn thyme in their sacred rituals because of its aromatic smell. Even today, a major element that is found in thyme is used to make Listerine as well as Vicks Vaporub.
Sow your seeds & cover them with a light sprinkling of soil. The best spot for growing thyme is in a very sunny area, with light or even slightly sandy soil. Thyme might be a good option for patches of poor soil where little else will grow. Sow in Spring or after the last frost for your area.

We as a company endeavor to provide to the public, Organic, Old Fashioned, Heritage, and Open-pollinated seeds that have not been genetically modified.
We purchased the business in November 2018 and renamed it to ABSeeds (All ‘Bout Seeds) to make the title shorter and represent what we hope to achieve with this business in the years ahead.
Seeds that we can’t grow ourselves we will acquire from people who grow for us, or we may purchase seeds from reputable heritage seed companies.
