FRUIT-CRIMSON SWEET (WAR PAINT)-WATERMELON has large, round melons averaging 11 – 13 kg. A pretty, light green melon with dark stripes, Crimson Sweet is famous for its high sugar content & great flavor. Seeds are small & dark, flesh is dark red, firm and fine-textured The vines are resistant to anthracnose & fusarium wilt. Give vines plenty of room to run. High in lycopene.
Plant seed not over 2.5cm deep 4 to 6 to the hill, pressing soil firmly over them. Grow in seed trays, and plant out in 4-6 weeks. When plants are well established thin to 2 to each hill. Best planted at soil temperatures between 21°C and 35°C.
