FLOWER – VERBENA
This beautiful, spreading Verbena comes in a mixture of burgundy, peach, pink, purple, red, & white. It is suitable for hanging baskets & containers, and it makes a colorful ground-cover for beds & borders. Tolerates heat. A mixture of small, striking flowers consisting of multiple small flowers surrounded by green, feather-like leaves & sturdy stems. The leaves are used in the kitchen, for soap, and as herbal medicine. Use small amounts because too much can be harmful. Height: 30 cm.
Sprinkle verbena seeds onto the soil surface, you do not have to cover the seed with soil. Place the seed tray somewhere warm and sunny that maintains an average temperature of 18 to 21°C & where it won’t be disturbed. Mist the surface of your soil with a spray bottle filled with water, once or twice a day or as necessary to keep the soil consistently moist.
Continue this for the entire verbena germination period, which is approximately three to four weeks. Thin out your seedlings once they have developed a couple sets of mature leaves.
