Leucanthemum superbum
FLOWER-SHASTA DAISY an old favourite perennial. Shasta daisies are herbaceous perennial plants that bear large amounts of golden-centered white flowers at the end of tall, erect stems. They have long been considered a mainstay of the perennial border or cutting garden. This popular daisy grows 5-7cm tall, forming a bushy clump that often grows 60cm wide, with flowers that can be 5-7cm across. Flowers are held high above glossy dark green thick leaves 20-30cm long. Plant in large groups & divide from time to time. For full sun & good soil. Salt tolerant.
Shasta daisies are super easy to start from seed. Indoors, sow them about 6-10 weeks before your last frost date. Outdoors, wait until all danger of frost has passed. Cover seed with about mm of soil and keep the soil moist.
