Pisum sativum
SNOWPEA-OREGON has flat edible pods to 10cm, that are good in salads or cooked. Sweet tiny peas inside big sweet pods combine for a delicious flavour treat. As versatile as snap peas. Resistant to pea virus, common wilt & powdery mildew. Vines produce well all summer in mild climates with sufficient water but are not as vigorous in cold weather. Staking is optional. Superb for freezing.
Sow thinly in a trench, push the seed down up to your first knuckle, cover & gently firm down. Direct- sow in early spring, again in midsummer for an autumn crop. Pea seeds DO NOT like heavy p soil.
